Thanks for being here. This is MJT writer/director of Handle With Care and I’ll be sharing some updates about the film and our journey.
I’m new to Substack but have been so inspired by the FilmStack Daily Digest community. Starting of course with Courtney Romano organizing the NonDé 50 Films Project, Ted Hope for galvanizing a community, Taylor Lewis for contextualizing it all in FilmStack Deep Dive and Alex Rollins Berg for shedding light on so many movies I’ve missed over the years!
I also really must shout out Abigail Horton for coming to a screening of HWC on the coldest night of the year and turning me on to this community.
Excited to share more, but to start here’s some context on our film:
Handle With Care is my first feature. We shot entirely in NYC (all 5 boroughs) and we finished post at the end of 2025. We’re currently in the midst of sales and distribution conversations.
Logline: In the wake of a short-lived marriage, a jaded romantic sells his unopened wedding gifts online – only to find that the stories from buyers might just restore his faith in love.
Starring Justin H. Min & Nicole Brydon Bloom along with many other wonderful actors from Catherine Curtin and Amir Arison to Jon Rudnitsky, Elizabeth Paige, Michael Cyril Creighton and on.
